PromptPerfect will no longer be available after September 1, 2026. That is Jina AI's own wording, shown on the PromptPerfect site, following Elastic's acquisition of Jina AI in October 2025. What is different
PromptPerfect optimized prompts and handed back a rewrite. We do the same for text and image prompts, and we score them first, so you can see what was weak instead of trusting a black box. Where they went wider — an API, multi-model comparison, prompt hosting — we do not follow, and the gaps are listed below. If what you wanted was better prompts without a monthly bill, this is a straight upgrade.

What we do not replace
Worth knowing before you move, rather than after you pay:
- An API. PromptPerfect had optimize and optimizeBatch endpoints plus a JS SDK. We have no public API, so if you called it from your own code we are not a drop-in replacement.
- Arena, their side-by-side comparison of one prompt across multiple models. We return three rewrites of your prompt, which is a different thing.
- Prompt-as-a-service hosting, agents, and a saved prompt library.

Export before the cutoff
PromptPerfect's FAQ says you can export your data from your account at any time. Do that now rather than close to the date. They have published the date the product stops being available, but nothing about how long data survives afterwards, so a grace period is not something to count on.

Keep the originals, not just the optimized versions
The original prompts are the more valuable half. An optimized prompt is tuned to one tool's idea of better; your original is the record of what you actually wanted. Paste an original in here and you will see what was weak about it, which is information the polished version has already thrown away.

Re-run your handful of workhorse prompts
Nobody has hundreds of prompts they genuinely use. There are usually five or six that do real work. Run those first, look at the scores, and keep the rewrite that fits. That is an afternoon, not a migration project.

Cancel the subscription
Worth saying out loud, because it is the step people forget. If you were on Pro at $19.99 a month, cancelling and buying a credit pack when you need one is the actual saving, not a discount on a subscription you keep paying for.
Common questions
How do I export my PromptPerfect data?
PromptPerfect's own FAQ says you can export your data to your device, or delete it from their servers, at any time from your account. Do it before September 1, 2026, which is the date they have said the product will no longer be available. They have not published a date for deleting data after that, so we would not rely on a grace period.
Do I need to rewrite my prompts to move over?
No. Paste an existing prompt into FixMyPrompt exactly as it was. You get a score, the specific weak spots, and three rewrites. Nothing needs reformatting first.
Is there a subscription?
No. FixMyPrompt is pay-as-you-go. Credit packs start at $2.99 and credits do not expire, so an occasional user is not paying monthly for a tool they open twice.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Three full reports a day are free with no signup and no card. Paste a prompt below and you will see the real output before deciding anything.
Does FixMyPrompt have an API?
No public API today. PromptPerfect had optimize and optimizeBatch endpoints with a JS SDK on its top tier, so if you were calling it from your own code we do not replace that. Through the browser, including our Chrome extension, you are covered.
I was paying $19.99 or $99.99 a month. What will this cost?
There is no monthly charge. Credit packs run from $2.99 to $23.99, you buy them when you need them, and the credits do not expire. If you were optimizing prompts a few times a week rather than daily, that is the difference between a subscription you forget to cancel and a few dollars a year.
